This design was stitched using stranded cotton from your coverkit

1. Draw a paper circle template 11cm (4 1/2in) in diameter and place onto the stitched piece making sure that the stitching is central. Cut the circle out. Alternatively, you can download our circle template from the 'Charts & Patterns' section on our website at www.cross-stitching.com.

2. Cut a circle of the backing fabric using the same template. Hand- or machine-stitch around both pieces to prevent fraying.

3. Fold the ribbon piece in half to form a loop. Pin the ends of the ribbon at the top of the heart design, making sure the loop lies downwards.

4. Pin together the front and back circles, right sides facing and with the ribbon attached to the wrong side, so when you turn through it is on the inside of the sachet. With a 1cm (Viin) seam allowance, hand- or machine-stitch all the way around, leaving a small gap at the bottom open. Turn through and press flat.

5. Fill your decoration with the wadding, taking care to make sure it is evenly distributed. Pin the gap and slip stitch closed for a neat finish.
