It uses three FLD (F Low Dispersion) glass elements, one SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass element, one high-refractive index, and high-dispersion glass element The Sigma S0-100mmf/1.8 DC HSM/ Art lens's hyper sonic motor is 30% slimmer and offers quick and accurate autofocus. This lens will be available in Canon, Nikon and Sigma mounts.
Sigma also stated that its other lens for the Contemporary line-up—30mmf/1.4DC DN—is expected to ship mid-march and will be available for $339. The lens is constructed with 9 elements in 7 groups. It uses one aspherical element and one double-sided aspherical element. The Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens will be available in Sony E-Mount and Micro Four Thirds mount.
The company also announced that the availability and pricing of its mount converter, MC-11, will be confirmed. This accessory is for Sony E-mount, full-frame and APS-C size sensor cameras. The MC-ll's internal data control system maintains continuity with key camera functions that control brightness, correct transverse chromatic aberration, distortion etc.
Compatibility with Sigma lens OS and Sony in-camera OS ensures correction of camera shake when used with in-camera stabilisation. The MC-11 enables angle shake correction in the lens.
